Counselling is for everyone who wants to live with better mental health and emotional well-being. I work with individuals and couples who are facing various life challenges and feel they would benefit from a dedicated space and time each week to focus on themselves and/or their relationship.
Psychotherapy
Perhaps you’re not sure what the difference is between counselling and psychotherapy? If you’re experiencing emotional or psychological distress, counselling can provide you with support. However, if you’re looking to make deeper changes to your emotional habits and behaviours, psychotherapy is the name generally used for such work. Many clients finds themselves experiencing a blend of both.

My Approach
Therapy is not therapeutic if you don't connect with or feel understood and accepted by your therapist. It is a very high priority of mine that you feel supported by me in the work we do together.

Every qualified therapist has also been a client for an extended period of time. Having sat in both chairs I fully believe that trust is one of the most important elements of a successful therapeutic alliance. Trust that the therapist won't judge. Trust that the client's information will be safe. Trust that the therapist creates a space where the client(s) feel predictably safe and welcomed, week after week. Trust that the therapist is using evidence-based interventions to support the client(s) in their work. As a therapist, I also have a lot of trust in myself and my ability to help you.
